BIOGRAPHY

I'm a New Jersey native. In college I studied music and jazz at William Paterson University (I guess it was College at the time) & CCNY (City College of New York). In addition to being a founding member of NYC's longest running live hip-hop event, Freestyle Mondays, and a pretty great hip hop band called Spokinn Movement, I have recorded/performed with with many pop, rock and hip-hop artists, including Lauryn Hill... and a whole mess of other people that aren't quite as famous. Some recent projects/artists I play with that I really love are Jeremy Beck and the Heavy Duty Horns, Amy Lynn and the Honey Men, and McClain Sullivan.

For the last several years, in addition to jazz, R&B, and rock gigs in NYC, I've really made my living playing lots of musical theater gigs. I've played on Broadway (Next To Normal, Once On This Island, Be More Chill, Beetlejuice, Frozen, etc...) & off Broadway, and in several regional theatre productions including the Williamstown Theatre Festival (The Last Goodbye) and the world premiere of "Love In Hate Nation" at Two River Theater, and many cabaret events at 54below, Le Poisson Rouge, and Sony Hall etc.. with some of the best talent on the planet.

Other recent notable performances include BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) for NPR's This American Life, playing in a musical by Lin Manuel-Miranda called 21 Chump Street...I think we made the shortest Cast album ever for it! I recently played at Lincoln Center's American Songbook -for the great writer, Joe Iconis. I also have been touring all over North America with the Midtown Men (4 stars from Jersey Boys Original Broadway Cast) since 2014. We actually did a PBS special that's been showing nationally, as well as playing the Today Show, The Beacon Theater, and the Mohegan Sun Arena! I also produce, teach and do whatever the heck I can to keep the lights on. This is boring... If you're still reading this I'm very impressed and a little worried about you...
